Purpose of job
Our aim is to become a market leader in the provision of Electric Vehicle charging solutions to Local Authorities and Businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon.
The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the nation. Our aim is to make the world a better place, one charge point at a time.
The IT Administrator will work within Zest’s Network Operations team to ensure maximum uptime of charge points is achieved across the network enabling a great customer experience while charging their electric vehicle. It will also cover helping to maintain a healthy internal IT network for all employees.
Key Accountabilities
The role is responsible for the following:
- Working closely the IT Service Delivery Managers to help deliver best in class secured internal and EV charger network.
- Helping to deploy firmware, network updates, changes and security.
- Being proactive and helping to improve network reliability and performance.
- Troubleshoot charger faults in a first line capacity remotely through our back-office software.
- Dealing with charger interventions (faults, repairs and maintenance visits) by working closely and communicating with our internal teams and 3rd Parties.
- Helping to extract data and reporting to help improve our service.
- Plus, any other duties required by the Network Operations Team.

- Maintaining EV Charger network uptime above 99%
- Maintaining a reliable & secure IT network
Key Relationships
- Internal – Working closely with IT Service Delivery Managers
- External – Charge Point Manufacturers
Knowledge and Skills
- EV knowledge beneficial but not essential, training provided.
- Experience in logging and maintaining Support Tickets.
- Experience of working in a technical focused role with experience in troubleshooting IT issues in a first line capacity.

Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation (Not essential)
