Wine Waiter/Waitress Needed

Location - Highbury and Islington, London (N16 9PX or N1 2NA)

Pay rate - £11.00 to £14.00 p/h

Love wine? Would you like to work with a great range of organic, biodynamic and low intervention wines? We are a friendly, neighbourhood wine shop and bar with a focus on natural wines and artisan cheese and charcuterie. We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for great wines and fabulous food.

Availability to work evenings and weekends but with a life-work balance always in mind. WSET qualifications would be a distinct advantage as would relevant hospitality experience. The role involves both selling wine from the shop as well as serving food and wine from our regularly changing By the Glass and Charcuterie and Cheese menu.

Who we are:

Yield N1 opened its doors in 2021, our mother shop in 2015 in Newington Green, we are due to open another, we are your neighbourhood bottle shop selling only natural, organic, biodynamic wines, and craft beers along with a small menu, that you can also enjoy by the glass to have in.

We offer a small deli and our menu is focused on charcuterie & cheese all to enjoy, so if you like retail with some hospitality table service this is the perfect place. We are recognized for our great team spirit and for providing fantastic service in an enjoyable setting. Our team is full of character and personality, they are passionate, friendly and proud of the food and drink we sell.

What we are looking for:

Enthusiasm and energy with a strong passion for and knowledge of wine and food. Confidence to talk about a wide range of wines. You will have a welcoming and friendly approach, relevant retail and/or hospitality experience and a natural passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You’ll be joining our team working in rotation datyime/evening and weekend services.

Qualifications/ experience :

· Minimum 1-year experience in a hospitality/retail environment

· Wset level 2 minimum or trade-relevant experience

· Experience in working in the drinks trade, retail, off-trade, restaurants, bars etc

· The ability to take on other tasks when required

· Able to work evenings and weekends
