Position Overview & Specifications

XYZ Reality is a construction tech start-up based in London and are currently looking for a talented, passionate full time Software QA Tester.
We are on a path to revolutionise the construction industry with custom augmented reality hardware and innovative software. Our Team is highly motivated, professionally qualified engineers specialising in industrial and mechanical design, software, and electronic design and manufacture. The quality and innovativeness of the products we design are critical to our customers and to our company.

We are developing an exciting Unity-based software platform for our custom Augmented Reality Head Mounted Display system.
We are seeking for a highly meticulous Software QA Tester with a strong eye for detail, who is committed to find even the smallest issues and analyse any possibility of improvement. The Software QA Tester tester will be the final line before content release, and as such is motivated to maintain high standards and guarantee our customer uses high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Able to follow the workflows of our software platform,
  • Determined to find all bugs in our platform,
  • Aware of the industry standards and best practises,
  • Perform daily tests of new features and upcoming releases,
  • Perform master checks,
  • Identify bugs and report them,
  • Regress bugs once they are claimed fixed,
  • Provide regular feedback regarding the quality of implemented features, Diligently follow testing procedures and standards,
  • Assign, prioritize and manage a test team’s day-to-day tasks,
  • Ensure testing is completed in the given time and clearly communicate obstacles.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Ability to work in a small team with hands on the software,
  • Excellent attention to detail,
  • Should be fluent in English and should hold good communication skills to interact with various teams,
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills,
  • Active participation in all key aspects related to testing on embedded and mobile devices,
  • Proficient in handling tools for testing purposes,
  • Able to create professional reports for requested situations,
  • Knowledge of some bug tracking tool is mandatory,
  • Knowledge of Jira and MS Excel,
  • Knowledge about construction BIM standards is preferable.
