Hi there! Ever wondered how Escape Rooms operate behind the scenes? Ever wanted to scare people for a living? Well now is YOUR chance!

We are currently looking for a "Games Host" at our escape room in Ashford, Surrey.

The role includes:

• Greet players in a timely fashion, and immerse them into their experience from the moment you begin your interaction.
• Monitor the experience, and be ready to step in with clues or help as required, as well as for any health and safety issues, ensuring any problems are rectified both swiftly and with as little disruption as possible.
• Engaging with the players as their game experience concludes, ensuring they leave on a high, and that they are aware of the other experiences we offer.
• Keeping the rooms in good order (including resetting the room between each game), and reporting any issues/breakages

Requirements:

• Scare acting is not needed but is greatly appreciated amongst this role. Understanding scaring from a character perspective and delving deep into the genre Horror, that goes beyond horror films/games.
• Good timekeeping skills, reliability and hard-working attitude.
• Ability to work both solo and as part of a small team or pair.
• Feel comfortable giving briefs in front of groups of up to 20 players.
• The ability to remain calm and level-headed whilst under pressure in a time-sensitive environment.
• Experience with, or ability to, respond to a diverse variety of scenarios in an unusual work environment.

Salary: £9.50-10.00 per hour
