As a support worker, you will support people to achieve their ambitions and live as independent a life as possible both at home and in the community.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Provide support that positively impacts the person we support’s health and wellbeing
· Contribute and implement support plans
· Be accountable for the delivery of all support and its administration, including personal care, tenancy support, health needs including assistance with medication, intensive housing management (if appropriate), personal development, emotional needs and inclusion.
Desired Skills and Attributes:
· Scottish Vocational Qualifications are desired but not essential for this role

· Compassionate
· The ability to understand and follow policies and procedures

Shift work, weekend work and sleepovers may be a requirement of this role. Flexible working arrangements are also available.

The Service:
Edinburgh Mental Health team is looking for a Support worker to join our team. The service provides practical and emotional support to adults who have a mental health diagnosis in our visiting support services in Edinburgh. The service operates on a rota basis working early, mid, back, weekend working. We offer a range of support across Edinburgh and the Lothians working in partnership to build trust to support mental health and wellbeing. Promoting engagement in identifying personal outcomes and developing skills where identified to support recovery, living well and living life. We provide tenancy, emotional, and social support to people in their own homes in partnership with local authorities and housing associations. This is also an outreach service, with travel throughout Edinburgh, No driving required as access to public transport is good.
