Wirral Council's Museums Service is seeking an experienced manager with a track record of multi-site, heritage venues. Our thriving museums and art gallery department currently enjoys the stewardship of the Williamson Art Gallery and Museum and Birkenhead Priory.
Our small dedicated full-time team supported a vibrant volunteer programme and group of friends run a full programme of outreach work within the local and regional community. In the first year of this role, workflows are predicted to surround renewing the exhibition spaces, transforming the museum's operating model and achieving a new brand, look and feel.
The work by our current curatorial team led by Niall Hodson, punches above its weight within the industry and our new venue manager will continue to build on this ensuring that the venues continue to be relevant to a 21st Century audience.
