Position Overview & Specifications

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Accurately receive in deliveries of goods
  • Accurately pick goods for transfer to other depots or customers
  • Ensure location information is up to date and accurate when locating goods in the warehouse
  • Carry out stock rotation activities
  • Ensure sure paperwork is correctly filled out
  • Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.
  • Picking and labelling products correctly
  • Carrying out spot checks and audits
  • Auditing stock movements across warehouse and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Collaboration with the wider team to continually improve ways of working & processes.
  • Ensure all Legal, Health and Safety and Operational procedures are always adhered to ensure the safety of self and others.
  • Report any injuries, accidents and any Health and Safety issues.
  • Adhering to procedures and practises according to the training received.
  • To participate and be involved in cultivating a culture of continuous improvement

Experience, skills and attributes:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Experience in warehouse / stock administration is essential.
  • Results orientated and can work to schedules
  • “Hands on” approach to problem solving
  • Able to lift and handle goods
  • Good degree of literacy and numeracy
  • Understands the basics of Health and Safety procedures
  • Good communication skills and time management
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
  • Ability to work quickly under pressure
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to accept and adapt to change
