Semi Skilled Mechanic

Willmotts Transport is one of the largest independent warehousing and distribution companies in the South West, based just outside of Shepton Mallet. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for an Semi Skilled Mechanic to join our friendly and dynamic team.

The successful applicant will be working in our workshop on our own fleet as well as some third-party vehicles.

You will be working directly under our Workshop Foreman and managed by a small team, covering the company’s maintenance & compliance.

Your responsibilities will predominantly include minor repairs, truck washing & tyre work on a variety of vehicles, trailers & other equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tyre fitting experience an advantage
• Accident repair / spraying
• Truck washing & valeting
• Minor repairs

Key Competencies:

• Have an interest in starting a career within the motor industry
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Car/ HGV / LGV mechanic experience would be an advantage
• LGV licence C & E would be an advantage

Additional Details:

• Monday to Friday 47.5 hours p/week + Saturday Working Rota (every other)
• 28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)

Salary: £10.00-£10.50 per hour
