Position Overview & Specifications
Looking for a full time kennel hand at a busy boarding and rescue kennels in Wakefield.
Previous experience with dogs is a must. Also would prefer someone with a animal care qualification. Must be confident around all sizes/ breeds/ natures of dogs. We have a lot of difficult/strong dogs so must be capable of dealing with them.
The main role will be dog walking with some kennel cleaning duties.
We are looking for a hard working individual who has a passion for animals.
A lot of outdoor duties are involved so must be able to work in all weathers.
Days to work are Thursday - Monday and we work split shifts so must have own transport. Full weekend cover is currently needed but in the future we could change days which would give the individual an opportunity to drop to just 1 weekend day.
Due to our busiest times been over the school holidays we cannot authorise any animal leave during this time so please bear this in mind when applying for the role.
Must be flexible and able to work weekends, bank holidays etc.
