Position Overview & Specifications
At Back on Track, we arrange in-house masterclasses on Step 2 interventions, group facilitation, and increasing clinical knowledge of Step 3 interventions for your development and assessment skills. We also have opportunities to attend formal training on working with those with Long Term Health Conditions, and how to supervise.
Clinicians are able to develop and run their own therapy groups with a Step 3 clinician, and manage their own projects within the service. This offers the opportunity to develop not just your clinical practice but also skills in project management, leadership and supervision.
Back on Track also offers a wonderful wellbeing at work focus, and the appointed candidate would be welcome to become a member of the wellbeing team.
Clinical caseload expectations: 6 x triage assessments (1hr) per week. 22 x GSH treatment sessions (30mins) per week. Total: 17hrs clinical work per week.

You would also be responsible for running one workshop per month, attending meetings and completing admin; with adjustments for providing supervision or running a group, or project area, holding a champion role, and at least one evening session (12pm–8pm Monday to Thursday) per week. All staff are currently expected to work 2 days from the office, with 3 days working from home – this is subject to change according to service needs.
You will need experience of risk management and assessment, and Step 2 treatment of IAPT appropriate disorders. We are keen to fill gaps in experience though, through our comprehensive CPD and supervision programme, and we offer ongoing support via debrief and a senior duty at all times.
