We are looking for a confident and motivated individual to take on the role of classroom teaching assistant in key stage one.

Our priority is to recruit staff who are ambitious for, yet sensitive to the needs of children, whatever their starting points. Hours of work, 8.30am-4.30pm Mon-Thursday and Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm.

The applicant will have:

  • level 3 (or equivalent) relevant qualification or higher is desirable
  • experience and knowledge of how young children learn
  • excellent communication skills
  • experience of teaching phonics
  • the ability to use their own initiative to support the individual needs of children
  • the ability to develop positive and supportive relationships with children and their families
  • the ability to support the speech and language progress of children from various stages of development
  • an understanding of how to support children’s writing
  • an understanding of supporting a range of additional needs within the classroom
  • the skills to be an excellent team player
