Position Overview & Specifications

Post Completion Specialist

Salary: £22,600 per annum

Hours: Full time - 35 hours

Contract: Permanent

Location: Hybrid Working (Head Office, West Bromwich)

The West Brom are looking to recruit a full time Post Completion Specialist. Working within the Lending department, the Post Completion Specialist will be focused on viewing and completing contract variation requests to designated authority levels whilst protecting the integrity of the mortgage portfolio.

The Specialist will provide excellent service to ensure customers receive fair outcomes and carry out the highest standards of customer service throughout the management of all mortgage account requests.


Key Responsibilities:

  • To process a range of supporting documentation within agreed policy, achieving required effectiveness and accuracy objectives and with agreed service levels
  • Management of mortgage accounts through all core systems within an agreed timescale to achieve appropriate solutions for our customers
  • Assess affordability/suitability of applications whilst obtaining and maintaining appropriate mandate
  • Adherence to all audit and FCA requirements
  • Contribute to the requirements of the Society’s Risk Framework by escalating up the line any identified risks
  • Ensure that the Rules and Guidance within the FSA's Mortgage Conduct of Business (MCOB) is complied with
  • Continually develop own skills and maintain an appropriate level of technical knowledge across the area, this is to include, services, systems and work processes necessary to carry out the role


Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum Society education standards – 4 GCSE’s (including Maths and English) or relevant qualifications
  • Good level of PC skills, including Word and Excel
  • Previous customer service or administration experience, preferably in the mortgage sector
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to understand complex matters and have the ability to make informed decisions and be accountable for them. Where this is outside of mandate, ensure sufficient, clear and accurate information is provided to enable such a decision to be made.
  • Ability to achieve good levels of competency and accuracy
