Job summary

This role supports the Health and Housing team to ensure the Housing with Care Fund (HCF) successfully meets the Programme for Government commitments to support innovative housing development to meet care needs and fund regional residential services for children with complex needs.

Job description

This role supports the Health and Housing team to ensure the Housing with Care Fund (HCF) successfully meets the Programme for Government commitments to support innovative housing development to meet care needs and fund regional residential services for children with complex needs.

Person specification

The HCF has an annual capital budget of £60 million. The Fund invests in specialist permanent housing, such as extra care for older people, and supported living for people with a learning disability, as well as short to medium term accommodation and intermediate care settings, such as children’s residential accommodation, transitional accommodation e.g. for young care leavers and people with emotional and mental health needs, and step up/step down accommodation.

  • Provide business and administrative services to the Health and Housing team.
  • Log grant applications, prepare offer of grant letters, check and certify grant claims.
  • Monitor funding commitments, expenditure and forecasting.
  • Build and maintain good relationships with Regional Partnership Board officials, grant recipients and colleagues in related policy areas across Welsh Government.
  • Arrange internal and external meetings, help draft agendas and papers, respond to requests for information, take minutes, and record decisions.
  • Monitor and contribute to day to day government business, correspondence and communications.

Selection process details

There are 3 stages to the application and assessment process:

Stage 3 – Skills Test (Online)

The skills test will be scheduled an hour prior to your interview

Interviews date is TBC.

Stage 4 – Interview

Your interview will be based on the Skills Profiles or Behaviours/Skills and Job Specific Criteria outlined in the sections of this advert.

At Interview stage you will be asked questions which will allow you to provide evidence (including specific examples) of how you meet each of the Job Specific Criteria and Behaviours and Skills required for this role.
