Position Overview & Specifications
Watts Construction are recruiting for a bricklaying apprentice to join the team.
Known for exceptional standards and attention to detail, Watts specialise in delivery of high-end extensions and new builds through to listed and heritage projects.
The successful candidate will spend their time split between working on site with our team of experienced tradesmen and attending college to complete a level 2 Bricklaying qualification.
Based in Crowborough, we operate in and around the surrounding area and so applicants are expected to have their own transport and be able to commute to different locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working alongside experienced tradesmen
- Preparation of materials and equipment
- Multi skilled tasks and general site labouring
- Learning how to select and safely use the correct tools, equipment and materials to complete tasks
Candidate Requirements:
- Local to Crowborough
- Have your own transport and be able to commute to different locations
- Work well in a team or on your own initiative
- Motivated and hardworking
- Good attention for detail and quality finish
- Excellent time keeping and attendance.
- Good communication skills
Required Qualifications:
- Qualifications required for this role include GCSE’s grades A – C
- GCSE Maths and English minimum grade of C / 4
Hours of Work:
8.25hrs per day (Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4.15pm)
Fridays finish 15mins early, this is paid
Contract Type: Fixed Term
Apprenticeship Level: Intermediate (level 2)
Future Prospects:
After completing Level 2 qualification there may be opportunity to progress onto Level 3.

Salary: £8.00-£10.00 per hour
