Wag-N-Train is a well established doggy day care company that is entering its 12th year and we are looking for a Doggy Daycare Assistant to join our team!

We are based in Weston Under Wetherley, just outside Leamington Spa. Our facility is an 8 acre site, comprised of indoor and outdoor facilities. Where our dogs spend the day playing and socialising in a countryside setting. Dogs are picked up by our staff and brought to the site for their day and then taken home by staff in late afternoon.

We are looking to take on a Daycare assistant to add to our team. You will be working with dogs in the daycare during the day, playing with them, keeping them entertained and making sure that they behave themselves! You will also be responsible for cleaning up after the dogs, cleaning equipment along with other duties.

The successful applicant must love dogs, must be physically fit, have excellent communication skills and be trustworthy. If you don’t have professional experience working with dogs, that’s okay. A passion for animal care and determination to learn is what we are looking for!

It is essential that you are comfortable dealing with a large group of excitable and playful dogs! You must be able to think fast and remain calm in any situation to ensure the safety of all the dogs at all times. At our daycare our staff ratio is roughly 1:8, so you will be part of a team working together each day. This is a job for all seasons, come rain, hail or snow! Our dogs still need to exercised and stimulated throughout the day.

All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK, provide references. The role is Monday to Friday only. Hours are to be confirmed The hourly rate is national minimum wage. We will not consider applicants who are looking for part time, holiday or short term work. We rely heavily on our team, so reliability and punctuality are essential for our dogs. If time keeping is not forte then this role is not for you.

There will be a 3 month probationary period to see if you are the right fit for the job.
