Head of Signalling

Wabtec AM Signalling Design

Location – Birmingham, West Midland, United Kingdom

Permanent (37 hours per week)

Wabtec AM signalling Design is part of the Wabtec corporation. Wabtec has a huge global rail organisation with over 27,000 employees and operating in over 50 countries.

Our expanding business of signalling engineers & consultants deliver technical consultancy services in the UK and globally.

We are seeking a Head of Signalling to manage our UK and off shore signalling Engineering business, continuing to grow and expand our teams based in the Midlands (Birmingham), Hyderabad (India) and Bangalore (India).

The Head of Signalling role will require regular travel within the UK and occasionally international.

Purpose of the role

The head of signalling role will manage the signalling engineering team in the UK and be accountable for the engineering centre performance, overall delivery of projects, safety, internal audits, compliance, engineering briefings, R&D and allocation and recruitment of resources.

The candidate will also support the business lead in implementing the overall business plan and supporting the businesses P&L and manage the IRSE agency.

The position is also the key point of contact for Wabtec clients, both for general client care issues but also as a point of escalation for any issues that occur on projects.
