Network Engineer - Data

What will you be doing?

• 
  Carrying out network cabling installations within customer premises.
• Carry out surveys of customer premises and report upon findings from an installation point of view.
• Working from plans, marked drawings and following crib sheets.
• Ability to work at height - using ladders,podium steps and access platforms such as MEWPs/ PASMA.
• Installation of catenary wires
• Carrying out Duct works using a cobra and other tools.
• Deliver a Data Cabling project to the customer's expectations.
• Fibre splicing single mode and multimode - training can be given
• Flexibility to Work away from home including some evenings and weekends as and when the job requires it.

Who are we looking for?

• 
  An engineer with experience in the Installation of Cat5 & Cat6 Cabling.
• An engineer with experience in the Installation of Fibre both single mode and multimode.
• CNCI accreditation - Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI®) - Desirable
• CSCS accreditation - Desirable
• An engineer with good customer facing skills.
• Fibre splicing experience - Desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of H&S
• An ability to Survey and deliver a Data Cabling project to the customer's expectations.
• An engineer who has the self motivation to become a Cabling expert who can gain the trust and respect of the business and customers.

Implementation of:

• 
  Cat5, Cat5E, Cat6, Cat6A and Fibre.
• LAN Rack and stack – installs and decommissioning.
• WLAN – installs and decommissioning.
• SD-WAN – installs and decommissioning.
• Broadband – installs and decommissioning.
