Role: Business Strategy and Operations Manager
Location: London, Paddington/Portugal
Role Purpose
Vodafone is forming a new venture – Digital Asset Broker (DAB), offering Digital Identity, Smart Contracts and Payments/Micro-Payments.
The DAB is a new global blockchain based platform that takes the world of connected devices to the next level by allowing them to securely trade with each other on a user’s behalf. The DAB uses the latest blockchain technology meaning that all devices and machines connected to Vodafone DAB are verified as trustworthy and then automatically allowed to exchange and trade data and money over secure and encrypted connections. As a result, companies can launch new products that are quickly authenticated as being safe to do business with, no matter where they are, and devices are ready to make real-time financial transactions. With further growth of the platform the plan for DAB is to be carved out into a separate legal entity over the next quarter to also attract external investment to scale it quickly.
This role is an exciting and unique opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial and can-do mindset to build an entity which will rely on its employees to drive innovation and business scale.
This role will be a key support to the CEO of Digital Asset Broker (DAB) in the day-to-day running of the business & the organisation, acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO and the wider DAB Business Leadership Team across a wide range of ongoing projects.
With us you will...
- Ensure the CEO of DAB is fully supported and prepared, owning the development of all necessary briefings, presentations, reports and relevant materials, delivered to time and of high quality.
- Support the wider DAB Business Leadership team as required and ensure the smooth running of the DAB function, with accountability for Leadership Team meetings, management and closure of actions and act as the rigorous quality control point across DAB.
- Provide ad-hoc commercial and strategic analysis support for a variety of business development and growth opportunities, working across DAB and across Vodafone Business up to SLT level.
- Work with our COO on KPIs performance and reporting. Support in development and production of DAB exec-level reporting. Deliver ahead of time and to best-in class quality.
- Play a key role in shaping and coordinating CEO communications, building close working relationships with the board and potential investors
- Produce content for internal and stakeholder meeting events
- Organize internal and external events for DAB promotion
- Setting best processes and procedures for best efficiencies, including resources allocation, lean cost, agility and flexibility and Vendor management
- Ambition to grow a business
