THE ROLE:


Product Manager


The purpose of the Product Manager role is to ensure that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. The Product Manager will be responsible for managing the Flow product’s lifecycle, from conception through to product delivery ensuring the highest possible quality levels of delivery to our customers.


This role reports into the Head of Product Management Office and will be responsible primarily for the management of the Flow Product suite, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, designers, developers, quality assurers, project managers, sales professionals and more. You will pitch and position new ideas for product feature development, work closely with engineering and design teams to bring the product to life and ensure that the product meets the needs of the target user or customer.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Responsibilities within the role of Product Manager will include but is not limited to:


  • Work closely with the business to help define the product vision, strategy and roadmap.
  • Manage the product backlog to ensure all work items are refined and prioritised to meet the needs of the customer and are aligned with the roadmap and product strategy.
  • Work closely with the technical, operations, sales, marketing and support teams to ensure business and customer satisfaction goals are met.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for new ideas/opportunities to establish proof of concept.
  • Perform regular product reviews to identify enhancement opportunities.
  • Gather, manage, and prioritise market/ customer requirements. Management of the requirements elicitation and analysis process is essential, understand the market and needs of the users to anticipate user requirements and collaborate with the development team address them to enhance the development process.
  • Working with cross functioning teams, act as the customer advocate articulating the users needs and be able to translate this into product features and user stories.
  • Liaise with the Development and QA teams to ensure a seamless transition between both departments so that all prioritized stories are developed, verified, and validated and meet customer expectations/requirements.
  • Own the Product review process to validate completed work against requirements to ensure that they meet customer expectations/requirements.
  • Conduct internal and end user training on new features, modules and products
  • Effectively manage product releases and communicate new releases to stakeholders and end users.
  • Liaise with the Customer Care team to answer product questions or categorize and prioritize reported defects.
  • Articulate the impact of defects and associated risk and effectively manage exit criteria.
  • Analyse user feedback
  • Act as the key point of contact between the users, business and the development team and support the Head of Product Management
  • Prepare product development status reports for the customers and/or internal stakeholders

EXPERIENCE:


Essential


  • 2-3 years of product management experience
  • University degree, evidence of continuous learning, or equivalent in Engineering, Product Management, or a related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working across the full product development lifecycle and coordinating UAT phases with business users.
  • Experience of writing requirements documentation/stories
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience of working closely with developers and business users in a highly collaborative environment
  • Experience of working in agile development teams
  • Experience of using defect tracking and test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, confluence.
  • Experience in requirements management
  • Ability to learn product configurations and train internal stakeholders or customers

  • Experience in working as a Product Manager, Product Owner, or Scrum Master
  • An active interest in the product management industry, for example self-study, or writing blogs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Teamwork skills with Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
