The Role

Our Warehouse Operatives ensure that all items are picked, packed and shipped in a timely manner whilst adhering to onsite safety requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.
• Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse.
• Taking goods to the appropriate storage space – perhaps using loading and lifting equipment for heavy goods
• Keeping a careful record of the stock on the warehouse management system, so that it can be located quickly.
• Picking orders using a hand-held scanner from the storage space and bringing them for packing, or to the loading bay for transportation.
• Organising transfers and loading goods on to delivery vehicles.
• Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse will also be part of the daily routine.

We are looking for someone with……

Mandatory

• Previous warehousing / distribution center experience
• Positive experience of working within a busy environment
• A strong attention to detail, with the ability to work quickly and accurately to tight deadlines.
• Able to work confidently alone and as part of a wider team.
• Excellent organisational skills and a willingness to take ownership / accountability of work.
• Resilience & patience to deal with difficult situations.

Desirable

• Valid fork truck license
• Fire marshal trained
