Assistant Finance Business Partner

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Business Partnering team, within the Finance Department, at University of South Wales. As one of the largest higher education providers in Wales, the University provides an ideal setting for individuals to develop their careers, nurture their talent and make a difference.

Based at Pontypridd, this role will provide you with an opportunity to build and develop your financial skills and abilities, working as part of a key financial team within the University, providing a range of financial services to both Corporate Departments and Faculties across the organisation.

Specifically, this role will assist the Finance Business Partnering team in providing a framework of financial advice, monitoring and support to Corporate Departments and Faculties, across financial planning, budget and forecasting and to drive and support improved financial decision making. We are looking for an ambitious Part Qualified Accountant with a strong finance/accounting background and considerable experience, with an approachable, professional and “can do” approach to work, who is equally adept at working unaided or as part of a close-knit team.
