Position Overview & Specifications

We are excited to appoint a highly motivated Administrative Assistant to join the new Pandemic Preparedness Analytical Capacity and funding Tracking programme (Pandemic PACT) within the GloPID-R Research and Policy team, based at the Pandemic Sciences Institute, University of Oxford.
You will be a key member of an established research group with responsibility for providing administrative support to the Pandemic PACT team. This includes but is not limited to acting as a first point of contact in the administration office; arranging meetings and travel; responding to general enquiries interpreting university and external regulations; providing financial administration; and maintaining project management tools, spreadsheets and other data tools. You will also be expected to provide further ad hoc support to other projects in the research team as required. In the role, you will be working closely with the Programme Manager, the Principal Investigator, and another Administrative Assistant that supports wider activities in the GloPID-R Research and Policy team.
It is essential that you are educated to GCSE level at Grade 4/C including English and Maths. You will have experience of managing administrative processes and previous experience of working as part of a team in an office environment. You will be able to interpret, apply and communicate regulations and procedures well with others, and you will be able to work independently, with minimum supervision, and have a willingness to resolve situations, as well as knowing when to refer issues to others. It is essential that you are able to organise your own workload and to work to deadlines
