Attention all finance professionals! Are you looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join a prestigious Oxford University Department on a temporary basis.
As the Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the smooth running of the department. Your primary responsibility will be to check and approve purchase requisitions, adhering to tendering and VAT rules before approving them. You will also raise purchase orders, receipt and file delivery notes from end users, and run and maintain the open purchase order and requisition reports. Additionally, you will be responsible for adding and removing user access to/from the marketplace and processing monthly recharges by processing journals and raising accounts receivable invoices.
To succeed in this role, you must have previous experience with manipulating and understanding data, ideally in a finance setting. You should be numerate and accurate with figures, with a keen attention to detail. You should also be able to demonstrate an ability to work methodically and work on routine matters with minimum supervision.
