Applications are invited for the role of Education and Student Experience (ESE) Manager based in the Faculty of Science. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of higher education in science and to support the development of an excellent student experience.
The role holder will provide leadership and management to successfully deliver the education and student experience elements of the Faculty's Strategic Plan, contributing to the development of processes to continually improve the service provided to both students and staff.
You will analyse data related to inclusivity and widening participation, working with the Head of ESE, the Faculty ESE team and academic leads in Schools to identify opportunities to improve the student experience. After initiatives have been agreed, you will manage the resulting projects to completion. Excellent communication and relationship management skills will be crucial as you will collaborate with students, and with academic and professional services staff, proactively engaging all stakeholders.
Along with a passion for exploring new ideas and innovative teaching and learning, applicants should have proven experience of building relationships with a range of stakeholders and be self-motivated to manage and deliver projects with minimal supervision. We are looking for candidates with excellent communication, IT, planning and negotiating skills, as well as an analytical approach to problem solving. An understanding of the higher education sector and the issues universities currently face is also desirable.

The post is offered on a full-time (36.25hrs per week), permanent contract. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week) ; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may considered.
