We are looking for a senior research assistant to contribute to ongoing projects and the management of our laboratory space.

The Opportunity:

The Wilkinson laboratory seeks a senior research assistant. This Cancer Research UK-funded post is available for a term of three years.

Selective autophagy is emerging as a fundamental pathway in maintenance of cellular health. Our laboratory probes the fundamental links between this pathway and cancer progression. Techniques used by the laboratory include both traditional and organoid cell culture, CRISR/Cas9, omic methods and standard molecular biology techniques, coupled with analysis of tissues from murine models of cancer.

We currently seek a senior research assistant to provide vital research support to our work in this area. Specifically, the successful applicant will split their time between day-to-day running of the laboratory and working alongside postdoctoral researchers and PhD students to perform lab-bench based experiments. These experiments will contribute to our ongoing research projects.

Overall, the work will contribute to a larger, high-quality program of research designed to address the mechanisms and functions of autophagy, hosted within a dynamic laboratory at the forefront of this field.
