What success looks like in this role:

Unisys are seeking a Support and Test Analyst to work as part of a large development team supporting some of our most prestigious Public Sector clients in the UK and Europe.

This role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to support a diverse range of mission critical applications which are at the core of Justice, Law Enforcement and Border Security agencies within the UK.

As an Analyst attached to our services organization, you will play a key role in the testing activities of different projects across a diverse range of application solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Applies diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigates causes and recommends solutions to correct failures
  • Conducts root cause analysis of recurring problems for defined projects or major incidents
  • Raise defects that are well articulated, containing appropriate levels of information
  • Supporting and advising End User Testing
  • Create and execute test cases aligned to defined scenarios
  • Develop test scenarios from a variety of information sources, including functional/non-functional specifications and project documentation
  • Contribute to expanding and maintaining our Knowledge Hub
  • Support the team to continuously improve by raising suggestions and highlighting areas of concern
  • Prepares, approves and coordinates the implementation of technical documentation and ensures that technical and client documentation is clear, current, accurate and complete
  • Help implement and introduce more complex and secure IT systems

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Quality and Customer-first mind set
  • Proven experience in supporting multiple clients/ technologies as part of shared support delivery
  • Adheres to correct procedures to ensure that any changes are carried out successfully
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Initiative/task ownership and ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks
  • Strong experienced with software development, test, and defect management tools such as DevOps Azure
  • Experience working in complex systems environment
  • Enjoys working within and across teams including client UAT and business teams

Security Requirements

Candidates must be eligible for, and will be required to obtain, SC and Strap clearance for this post (already having clearance is advantageous).
