Insurance Renewals Advisor

Unicom Insurance Services limited are looking for an experienced Insurance Advisor to work within our Renewals Team. The team is responsible for quoting, inviting and retaining our existing business. Successful candidates will have their own database of customers to manage as well as individual and group targets.

PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS OFFICE BASED (BROXBOURNE EN10), HOWEVER HYBRID WORKING MAY BE AVAILABLE FOLLOWING A SUCCESSFUL INDUCTION PERIOD.

Responsibilities:

• Checking all clients information and assessing risk prior to quoting with certain insurers
• Accurately calculate renewal quotations, insure all renewals are underwritten correctly and present these in writing as well as verbally.
• Ensuring that quotations are sent out accurately and promptly.
• To check all renewal business, completing the appropriate check sheets and applying the correct terms to pass to the CSS team.
• To liaise with customers in respect of general renewal queries.
• To liaise with the Insurance Company on any issue outside of underwriting criteria’s.
• To chase the client and encourage them to renew on all allocated cases.
• To create and build relationships with existing customers & agents to promote business development.
• Regular contact with other departments such as Customer Services, Sales, Underwriting, Claims, Credit Control and Accounts. Giving the successful applicant an insight and understanding in other aspects of insurance.
• Upsell additional bolt-on products
• Investigate and monitor customers to ensure material information provided is accurate
• Sourcing payment options to accommodate individual client needs
• To support the departmental key performance indicators and renewal targets as directed by the Operations Manager
• Always comply with the requirements of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and the FCA rules

Skills and Knowledge:

• Insurance industry experience is DESIRABLE
• Previous Motor Trade insurance experience DESIRABLE
• Self-motivated and ability to Multi-task
• Good Communicator
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Commitment, teamwork and customer-service skills are vital.

Salary: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
