Position Overview & Specifications
A Maintenance Technician, is responsible for completing routine and emergency repairs to equipment, fixtures, fittings and building systems. Their duties include responding to reports of broken or faulty items, conducting routine inspections of buildings and liaising with external specialists and contractors.
To carry out a preventative, planned maintenance program and undertake routine inspections of the premises, fixtures, fittings, utility meters, and grounds. To carry out repairs, maintenance, improvement works and inspections to ensure the general upkeep and maintenance of the premises.
Maintenance Technicians have a wide range of responsibilities, whether they work in a specialist role or one that requires a broader skill set. Their key duties include:
· Inspecting machinery, equipment, buildings and systems, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning
· Performing routine cleaning and sanitising, including specialist cleaning of delicate or high-value items such as entry systems, security equipment, lifts and escalators
· Completing small repairs such as fixing locks, leaky taps and broken windows
· Checking and maintaining safety equipment such as fire alarms, fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors
· Replacing light bulbs
· Inspecting and troubleshooting problems and issues reported by clients or colleagues
· Maintaining tools and equipment required to perform the role effectively
· Following a maintenance schedule to ensure that all routine tasks are completed
A successful Maintenance Technician will have various prerequisite skills and qualifications, these include:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Troubleshooting skills
· Ability to read technical drawings, manuals and technical specifications
· Interpersonal skills
· Customer service skills
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
