Job Introduction

At Turning Point, it's our job to help people find a new direction in life. If you're looking for a fresh opportunity of your own, join us in this rewarding Receptionist role and help us make a real difference to those in need. Providing wide-ranging reception and administrative services as part of our Head Office Support Team you'll help to make sure that everything runs smoothly at our London Head Office.

The ideal candidate will provide an efficient and responsive reception service, delivering a positive experience for people visiting the office that is in keeping with the vision and values of Turning Point and conveys the professional reputation of one of the leading national health and social care organisations.

This role is initially a temporary 6-month contract with an opportunity to go permanent afterwards.

We have a full-time or part-time vacancy available.

Role Responsibility

From greeting and assisting visitors, operating switchboard, and managing an effective office space booking system, you will provide a point of contact that delivers a positive and productive experience to both clients and colleagues as befits the external image of Turning Point commensurate with being professional, business like and conducive to driving future growth.

You’ll work collaboratively with a team, supporting the Office Manager and assisting others in basic office administration which will include supporting business and social events, travel & accommodation arrangements, managing and maintaining computer files and records, H&S and facilities administration and maintaining good housekeeping standards.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who's able to portray a strong, positive, and confident persona, so it's desirable that you have previous experience of working as a Receptionist/Administrator or within customer services. Along with excellent communication skills, the desirable candidate would stay calm under pressure, effectively prioritize their workload, multi-task whilst juggling deadlines and bring a strong hands-on, sleeves up approach to the role. A confident user of MS Office systems, it's also key to the role that you are highly organised, attentive to detail and are a good team player with a sense of collective endeavour.
