Night Shift Van Driver Glasgow

As one of the largest bakeries in Scotland, every week they bake upwards of 4 million of Scotland’s favourite rolls alone!

We are recruiting for a Night shift Van Driver to support the established team at their state of the art site at the M8 Food Park in Glasgow.

Job Description and hours

· This role starts between 22.00-02.00 Sunday, you will work 6 days finishing each morning at roughly 07.00-11.30 am, and your working week will finish on a Saturday morning.

· This is Paid at £600 per week regardless of how many hours you work, and commission is also paid on top of this depending on your run, which will be explained at the interview.

· Some runs will be 7hrs long some may be 10-11 hours long due to the volume of your runs.

· Areas that you will be covering are split into three sections,

· Distance-This could be areas like, Greenock, Port Glasgow, Livingston and Falkirk.

· Surround- This could cover Airdrie, Motherwell, and Coatbridge,areas all about 15miles away from the city.

· Local-Glasgow City center runs.

· Drivers will start their shift by loading their vans with delivery crates with the customer’s orders. They will then collect all relevant delivery paperwork, and instructions and set off to the client’s delivery points. As these deliveries will be carried out during the night the customer’s sites may not be open and the driver will be delivering to unmanned sites, all instructions will be given in detail to the driver.

· Three weeks of training with another driver will be given to ensure the new driver is confident in their new role.

· Due to insurance reasons the driver must be over 25yrs old with no points on their licence.

· Holidays are 20 days plus 9 public holidays and a uniform is provided.

This is a temp to perm position through TTS 24-7 recruitment for 12 weeks where after the 12 week the successful candidate will be taken on by the client on a permanent contract.
