The Role
A rare opportunity to join a fantastic business on a 12-month Maternity Contract has arisen for an experienced Purchasing Assistant. In this role you will be supporting the buying function of the business ensuring deadlines are met and processes are followed, launching new product weekly and solving product related problems for the customer experience department to enable a five-star service. Working closely with the Management Team, you will be responsible for leading the daily purchasing pipeline from supplier orders and returns, to invoicing, stock management and launching new products.
Placing orders with suppliers to replenish stock and fulfil orders.
Administering price changes internally, on the CMS and websites
Booking in stock and deliveries to third party logistics providers, being a point of contact for any enquiries and issues
Processing invoices from suppliers, chasing for dispatch of goods after payments and ensuring accuracy of data in internal systems.
Administering new product launches by collating accurate product information, ensuring listings on the website and updating CMS with new supplier information
Managing the purchasing inbox
Requirements
The successful Purchasing Assistant will have previous experience working in a purchasing role or department and have extensive knowledge of Excel. Ideally, you will have experience using Magento (or other similar systems). You will be highly organised, meticulously detail oriented and thrive on spinning plates in a fast-paced environment! Enthusiasm towards your work, your colleagues and customers are essential in this business. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Purchasing Administrator, Procurement Assistant or Buying Administrator.
