Junior Graphic Design Assistant

European Solutions is an established market leader in the supply of printed promotional merchandise & personalised gifts.

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Studio Operative to work within our busy artwork team. You will be responsible for processing customers artwork and producing high quality print-ready proofs for a variety of promotional products, personalised gifts and print processes including our in house laser engraving machines, Vinyl cutting machines and Mug Sublimation machines.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 months experience working within a similar role and be confident in using Apple Mac and associated software, including Adobe Illustrator. Photoshop and photography skills would be useful but not essential.

Excellent attention to detail and knowledge of print processes are essential requirements, including the ability to liaise with customers, suppliers and external print facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities: -

• To produce accurate print ready artwork proofs for a variety of print processes and to comply with customers brand guidelines
• Liaise with our sales team on the production of pre-order visuals and ensure that all designs are achievable
• Communicate effectively with our production and warehouse departments to coordinate orders and prioritise the production of artworks
• Adhere to production procedures and schedules, complete job sheets and update systems
• To produce photographic images for marketing and websites using our in-house facilities
• Create printed and email marketing to promote our company’s service and products
• Update our existing company websites with new or additional products and designs (training will be given)
• Customer communication including answering messages and producing visuals.

Requirements: -

• 1+ years work related experience within a similar role
• Enthusiastic, adaptable and proactive
• Good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Keen eye for detail
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise own workload and keep to deadlines
• Effective communication skills both oral and written
• Ability to understand and execute instructions
• Good organisational skills
• Work accurately in a faced paced environment
• Work well under pressure
