Position Overview & Specifications
We are looking for a driven individual to join the Totally Wild team, to work alongside a unique team of Professional Foraging Instructors.
We're looking for applicants in multiple areas such as: Swindon, Oxford, Reading, Basingstoke, Guildford, Woking, Hawley
Helping us to spread the word about responsible foraging, how we can all enjoy our wild open spaces and how we can go about safely enjoying wild and foraged ingredients in our daily diets.
We're looking to enlist someone with a base knowledge of foraging & wild food, who's able and happy to work outdoors. The successful applicant will go through training and development to enjoy leading deeply engaging wild food and foraging events.
This Job is advertised as part-time and we can discuss hours that work for you and the company.
What we're after:
- A driven individual capable of managing their own time well
- Able to ideally work between 2-3 weekends per month
- Applicant to have previous knowledge of plants, seaweeds &/or Mushrooms
- Applicant ideally to have worked either in a team setting or managing a learning group
- Must have a vehicle and a full UK driving License
- Happy to drive 2 hours at a time
- Be flexible and able to deal with changing workloads and seasonal working demands
- Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Wish to be a core part of an exciting team of foragers
- Fit and Healthy
- Friendly and attentive, able to answer to customer requirements during events
What you can expect from us:
- Training (although we expect initial plant knowledge you will go through our in-house foraging accreditation)
- All kit required is provided by us.
- Mileage Allowances covered.
- The ability to go through the L3 Ofqual accreditation in wild food and foraging.

The role is set to begin in the 2023 season, starting in February which gives us plenty of time for preparation, planning and getting us all ready.
