We are seeking experienced individuals to join our team of support workers in Stanley, supporting individual in their supported living setting. We require support workers with experience and or knowledge of supporting adults with a learning disability. Shifts will be a combination of day support and waking nights and will run on a 2 week rota, that includes some weekend work. The role will require Resilience, Patience, compassion and flexibility, to enable a truly person-centred approach to the support.
As a support worker with Thera, you will be part of an inclusive team helping create innovative ways to support an individual achieve their own personal goals.
Supporting people in their daily lives is varied and any day could include helping someone develop new skills, providing personal and emotional support, helping people plan and manage their own home, support with leisure, interests, and travel.
There will also be a lot of time supporting with life in their community; to develop relationships within their community, to discover new skills, form further ambitions and pursue hobbies and interest
