Pub Sous Chef with Option of Live in Accommodation

We are recruiting for a Sous chef to join the team at the Village Inn.

The Village Inn is a part of the Thurlestone Hotel, a luxury, family-owned, 4-star 65-bedroom hotel situated on the spectacular South Devon coast. The hotel includes the 2 AA Rosette Trevilder Restaurant, Voyage Spa, 9-hole golf course, The Village Inn Pub as well as a range of sports facilities and a seasonal kids club.

About the role

The Village Inn is a traditional Devon village pub, part of the Thurlestone Hotel but its own business in itself. There for the locals all year but also for the hotel's guests' and visitors that flock to the area in the holiday seasons. We are searching for a forward thinking Sous Chef who can work with our Head Chef and continue our ethos of creating menus using the best of locally sourced produce to provide an exciting menu that has something for everyone.

You will be hands on with the day to day running of the kitchen supporting the head chef with the management of the business and supervising the other members of the team ensuring we consistently deliver the standards our guests come to expect. You will deputise for the head chef and as a team lead the kitchen brigade.

It goes without saying you will have worked at a similar level previously or be able to demonstrate you are ready for that next step in your career. You are used to faced-paced kitchen environments and up-to-date with all current food hygiene & allergen legislation, be professional & approachable.

Rate of Pay

Up to £30,000 per year + generous tips
