Position Overview & Specifications
Previous hospital experience is not essential but experience of carrying out similar duties.
This is a bank position to cover A/L, sickness and to help out when the department is busy.
To work within the Sewing room team issuing Trust Uniforms, along with any alterations required, as well as experience with embroidery. The post holder will also be required to answer queries on the phone as well as face to face.

To work as a member of the Sewing room team to assist with the daily tasks required to maintain a effective and efficient uniform service to the Trust.
To provide routine information with colleagues, all Clinical and Support Staff and Supervisor.
To make judgements involving straightforward facts or situations, e.g. investigate problems with lost items, reporting equipment failure and stock issues.
To organise your own day to day work tasks or activities to ensure service levels are achieved in order to ensure staff uniforms are available to meet start date timescales required.
To comply with all Trust Policies, Infection Prevention protocols and Health and Safety requirements.
To ensure safe use, of all work equipment and environment is maintained - e.g. Sewing machines, irons etc. – following standard operating procedures.
To explain and demonstrate own duties to new starters.
To monitor and report on uniform levels and ensuring that these are correctly stored .
To record personally generated information for compliance to ensure Trust protocols are followed.
To participate in audits as required, and Trust surveys.
To work within clearly defined procedures using own initiative on routine matters, with supervision available.
To wear full uniform as issued and maintain personal appearance and hygiene at a standard commensurate with the duties and role of the post.
