Bar Supervisor

The Psalter is a unique, contemporary boutique hotel and bar nestled in the leafy suburbs of Nether Edge, Sheffield.

Psalter Lane Hotel houses 22 uniquely styled rooms and a hospitable café area providing delicious breakfasts and lunch.

Our newly furbished bar serves up delicious drinks from cask ales to cocktails with kitchen. We also have an events space and art gallery for events such as birthdays, weddings and Christenings.

Supervisors will have the task of making the venue run smoothly whilst the Managers are not on shift. Keeping the team motivated and creating an enjoyable work environment are imortant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete opening and closing checks for the bar and for the kitchen
• Assisting with training bar staff
• Maintaining good cleaning/hygiene standards throughout the venue
• Daily cash ups and closing the bar
• Making sure the bar/floor/kitchen/hotel is communicating well
• Direct staff during whilst making cocktails and other drinks
• Deal with customer complaints
• Liaising with the kitchen and floor to provide the best service to the customers, managing food waits or clearing of tables
• Liaising with the reception team to ensure smooth day to day running between departments
• Making sure the bar is fully stocked
• Stock checks
• Dealing with customer queries
• Put away deliveries and deal with issues dues to missing stock
• Acting as the point of contact in the absence of the bar manager
• Liaising with the General manager

Salary: £11.00 per hour
