Position Overview & Specifications
The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides patient centred care across the city of Newcastle upon Tyne. There are two main hospital sites at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and Freeman Hospital, as well as several community outreach centres. The Freeman hospital houses the Institute of transplantation, Renal services and the Northern Centre for Cancer Care. The Royal Victoria Infirmary incorporates the Great North Trauma and Emergency centre and the Great North Children’s Hospital.

Good organisational, interpersonal and communication skills are essential and knowledge of current radiation legislation is required.

- Duties involve the production of specified radiographic imaging under the direct or indirect supervision of Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Radiographers within the parameters of the Assistant Practitioner role.
- To assist with a range of clerical and patient related tasks within the department.
- To assist in delivering high standards, by contributing to the department’s team approach to compassionate patient centred care.
- To abide by the trust policies and procedures.
Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first month’s pay.
