General manager - New opening

The Cricketers Arms is a true local pub in the heart of Leamington Spa, We are dedicated to providing the best possible service to our returning customers and new and strive on the passion of creating an unforgettable experience for our customers.

The Cricketers has been open for business since September 2020 and has built an excellent reputation for itself, priding itself on its excellent food, drink and service. We have regular live music nights, events and food/drink deals.

We serve some of the best beers and food in the town and upkeep this tradition closely. We are endorsed by cask marque and Timothy Taylors brewery for our excellently kept beers.

We are looking for an individual with experience and motive in the hospitality industry who also have a passion for the craft.

You will be working closely with a fantastic team to provide excellent food, drink, character and service, we at The Cricks love to go above and beyond for our clientele to create an experience worth talking about and coming back to!

Job role-

You will be expected to oversee day-to-day running of the premises, work closely with kitchen and front of house staff, ensure the venue is clean and presentable.

As a Public house manager you will be responsible for day-to-day operations for the premises, this will include but is not limited to..

-Hiring and managing staff, organising Rota's, stock take and process stock orders for the bar, be responsible for till operations including processing payments and end of day reports, organising events, handling deliveries, maintaining current awards such as cask marque, fire safety and training, keeping up to date with new legislation from governing bodies, enforce health and safety rules, adhere to budgets, maintain cashflow and increase profits, cellar management and training.

We ask that candidates have experience working in pubs and restaurants, have experience with cask ales and coffee machines.

We expect candidates to have great attitude towards the industry, have excellent problem solving skills and positive mindset, excellent communication skills, ability to delegate and have strong understanding of business management.
