This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Software tester who will play a major role with the technical design and development of company’s technical offerings. The role is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations.

Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):

• Should be able to document and implement project test plans and test specification based on Functional, Non-Functional and Technical documentation and requirements.
• Develop testing strategies that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
• Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope; client/stakeholder needs or delivery dates.
• Should have worked on various automation methodologies and development approaches using necessary automation frameworks needed including Hybrid Automation (Page Object Model/Page Factory), TDD/BDD based development.
• Carry out stress testing, performance testing, functional testing and scalability testing
• Write and execute test scripts also run manual and automated tests also write bug reports
• Test in different environments including web and mobile
• Meet with system users to understand the scope of projects
• Present findings to software development and business user teams
• Work with software developers and project support teams
• Identify business requirements & plan projects
• Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
• Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and communicating findings to technical and non-technical colleagues.
• liaise with project teams in other parts of the world
• Able to work on multiple projects at one time

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Tester or similar role
• Bachelor in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems (MIS) or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in development or testing automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium Grid, Junit, SOAP-UI, Eclipse, Jenkins, Ant, Maven, Visual Studio, HP ALM/QTP, JIRA etc.)
• Experience in web technologies (e.g., HTTP, XML, REST, HTML, etc.)
• Expert in Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Practical knowledge of project delivery methodologies
• HHS EPLC experience preferred
• Deep Knowledge and understanding of the development process and software life cycle.
• Experienced of testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in manual web/mobile/API/requirements testing.
• Good Understanding certain marking/scripting/programming languages, required for the project (e.g., JSON, HTML/CSS)
• Hands on experience in Test management tools: Xcode, Android Studio, Charles, Dev Console, Fiddler, etc
• Hands on experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner/JMeter
• A good working knowledge of consuming RESTful web services, SOAP web services, and JSO with ability to device testing suite using tools like PostMan, SoapUI
• Should have handled the testing effort on Linux, Unix and Windows platforms in traditional and cloud-based settings
• Good Understanding Project management tools: Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, etc.
• Deep knowledge Communication tools: Slack, Skype, Zoom, etc.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or Equivalent.

Salary: GBP 35000 to 50000 per annum
