This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for AWS Engineer who will play a major role with the technical design and development of the company’s technical offerings, especially integrating the diverse applications suites. The role is based at our Leicester office with occasional assignments at client locations.

Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):

• Designing and deploying scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
• Developing automation scripts and tools to automate the provisioning and deployment of infrastructure and applications.
• Setting up tools and required infrastructure on AWS.
• Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation.
• Troubleshooting techniques and fixing pipeline bugs.
• Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for their adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing wastage.
• Creating and maintaining documentation of AWS infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management.
• Incidence management and root cause analysis.
• Selecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD tools.
• Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline).
• Should be able to lead the activities and communicate with other teams

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]

• Bachelors/masters in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience of AWS
• Proficiency in AWS services and tools such as EC2, S3, RDS, Elastic Load Balancing, Auto Scaling, Cloud Formation, and others.
• Experience of using AWS Code Pipeline, Code Commit, Code Build, Code Deploy
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux/Windows Operating system administration and management.
• Design and develop dynamically scalable, highly available, highly reliable, and fault-tolerant Environment.
• Understanding CI/CD pipeline implementation for various stages.
• Good knowledge and hands-on experience of On-Prem DevOps
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git/Bitbucket.
• Knowledge building Java application using Maven.
• Knowledge of container platforms like Docker.
• Good Understanding of Jenkin tool.
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN.
• Knowledge of application and web server hosting services like Nginx and Apache Tomcat.
• knowledge of Linux scripting and Python scripting (Good to have).
• It would be an advantage to have skills in tools like SonarQube and Nexus Repository OSS.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or Equivalent

Salary: GBP 29000 to 40000 per annum
