Position Overview & Specifications

The Candidate:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Graduate level Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in statistics, mathematics, or a related field and a passion for using data to drive business decisions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate, with some work experience, to gain hands-on experience and make a significant impact in a fast-paced, data-driven organization.

The Company:

  • SpeedyBooker is an online travel business based in the centre of beautiful Bury St Edmunds, with exciting plans for the future.
  • We own and operate several major travel websites focusing on accommodation but also including visitor attractions and wedding venues. They include speedybooker.com, universityrooms.com, britainsfinest.co.uk, and beach-huts.com. We are also soon to launch some innovative new websites.
  • Our booking engine, internally developed over ten years, also powers third party partner websites.

The Position:

This is a new role within the company. You will:

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources
  • Develop and implement data models to support business decisions
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and other data visualisation tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve business problems using data
  • Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines, workflows and platform enhancements
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data analysis and data managementThis is an exciting opportunity to play a rewarding, varied, and hands-on role.
  • Provide data models and processes to enhance performance marketing efficiency and cross-business management information
  • It can either be full-time or part-time (three days per week or half days).

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with data visualization techniques and tools
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Graduate
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
