Food Packaging Operatives

Smunch recipe kits offer pre-measured ingredients and detailed instructions to easily recreate recipes made by social media creators. As an innovative company, we enable our customers to make trendy and tastier recipes in the comfort of their kitchens.

The Role

As a member of the team, you’ll be responsible for the preparation and packaging of ingredients in a food safe environment, ensuring Food, Environment Health & Safety and Quality standards are maintained and production targets are met. You will be based in various commercial kitchens in and around Bristol. This role is part-time and on a self-employed contract.

What You'll Be Doing

• Portioning and packing dry and fresh ingredients into recipe boxes.

• Receiving, checking, and sampling of ingredients from our suppliers.

• Working within the company policies/procedures and to ensure individual and collective Health & Safety is achieved.

• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area.

• Ensuring the accuracy of each customer order.

• Working with other team members to ensure an efficient packaging process.

• Checking and recording data in relation to production and customer orders accurately.

• Performing other related duties as assigned.

Required

• Experience working in a food environment

• Enthusiastic, with a keen interest of food packaging

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Basic numeracy and English Language skills

• Ability to stand and undertake some manual handling/bending.

Desirable qualities

• Knowledge of food handling and allergen controls

• Experience working with food suppliers

What You’ll Get

• 8 - 10 hour shifts

• £10.20 -12.40 per hour ( part-time and self-employed)
