Our client is a highly successful division of a major FMCG company operating across a number of diverse categories. The company has a significant presence in the grocery, household and healthcare categories with market leading brands. Still proudly privately owned and entrepreneurial, they remain committed to strengthening their presence in the FMCG sector.
The business has some really exciting future growth plans for both existing and new brands, supported by significant marketing investment from the respective brand owners. They are seeking a Senior National Account Manager to join one of their strategic business units.
The Role
Your key responsibility will be to manage a portfolio of Convenience accounts for an important part of our client’s fast growing and rapidly expanding brand portfolio. This role is high profile and you will work closely with colleagues in commercial, category and marketing, as well as with the brand partner. You will manage all aspects of developing the business across some of our largest and most important customers in this channel. You will be working on JBPs, NPD, promotional activity and above all, building strong relationships with key contacts at head office level.
About You
Of graduate calibre, you have previous FMCG experience at NAM / SNAM level gained in a branded food environment and ideally have previously managed customers in the Convenience channel, e.g., Spar. Previous knowledge and experience of working on confectionery/impulse categories would be an added advantage. A natural self-starter, you have real passion for building business, plus a truly engaging, dynamic and persuasive personality, real drive and an inspiring record of success. You will be expected to travel to the head office in South West England 1 – 2 times a month.
