Job Title - QA Test Analyst (Software)

Salary - up to £36,000

Location - Birmingham City Centre (Hybrid- 3 days in the office and 2 remote)

We have now moved in to our brand new offices in the UK located in central Birmingham, and we are looking to recruit an experienced QA Test Analyst (Software) with strong UK based experience.


The role is based in the Quality Assurance team, this is a team responsible for ensuring all of our software functions correctly.


Here’s what you came for - The ROLE


In this position you will work within a highly collaborative studio culture as part of the software testing team ensuring our back-end and front-end software and functionalities are developed using industry best practice and highest standards. You will identify, log and track bugs using Jira and work on all areas of our internal systems and external web/mobile applications across our suite of mobile, tablet and desktop platforms using widely recognised tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and execute test cases/plans.
  • Test the software used internally within the company while working on a variety of small, medium, and large scale projects.
  • Test customer facing features, including back-end and front-end functionalities on mobile, tablet and desktop platforms, on web and apps.
  • Identify, track, and report issues/bugs using Jira.
  • Ensure the test projects are moving through the test stages in line with the set deadlines and escalate to the team leads/manager if in risk to not meet the set requirements on time.
  • Provide test summaries/reports.
  • Work with a team of software testers to produce and maintain excellent quality software, apps, and games.
  • Liaise with developers, business analysts, project managers, and test analysts across the QA teams to resolve issues and remove blockers.
  • Continuously learn and develop skills with the support of the senior members of the team.
  • Report to the team leads and the QA manager.

Key Skills / Essential Requirements

  • Ability to create, execute and update detailed test cases/plans.
  • Expertise with bug-tracking software (JIRA).
  • Commercial experience of manual testing across web and mobile (Android/iOS) platforms.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm to learn, develop skills and continuously improve.
  • Desire to do the best possible job and produce outstanding quality product.
  • Strong teamwork advocate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • Good documentation skills (writing test strategies, guides, reports.)
  • Team leader experience (formal or informal).
  • Degree in Games Programming or related field.
