Position Overview & Specifications

£11.01 per hour

Bede’s Close is a Residential Service providing 24-hour Care and Support to 3 adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Complex Needs.

We are looking to recruit Support Workers with experience and training in (PMVA) Prevention & Management of Violence and Aggression or equivalent.

As a support Worker within this team your role will include supporting those who use the service with personal aspects of support, cooking, cleaning and laundry. This role also includes Administrating Medication, completing Daily Records and Financial transaction. Supporting Individuals out in the Community, those using the service have varying interests and all activity choices are supported.

Our Team is Diverse and we are looking for individuals who are Confident but also Patient and Understanding to join us.

Essential Criteria:

  • An ability to demonstrate the core values of the Charity
  • NVQ2 in care (or willingness to attain)
  • Ability to respond to guidance and direction
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults
  • Experience of developing personal care plans
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Able to provide personal care
  • Able to work flexible hours and sleep-ins
  • Maintain confidentiality, honesty and reliability
  • Non-discriminatory and respect for cultural and religious heritage of all people
