A bit about us

At Shortlist.Me we’re on a mission to maximise the employability and confidence of students. Our business is underpinned by a technology platform that seamlessly integrates with career and employability tools.
We have a motivated team who love working in the education sector and we always hire people driven by the mission. With a 4.5 day working week (yes…that’s an extra 24 days holiday on top of our standard 25 days!) and options for remote UK working, depending on the individual, we are proud to say that we’re a great employer with a fantastic team.

What will you be doing?
  • Developing and maintaining software applications using Python and the Django web framework
  • Building and deploying scalable and reliable applications using AWS S3, AWS Lambdas, and Heroku
  • Collaborating with the team to understand, break down, and size tasks in order to prepare them for sprint allocation
  • Take ownership of allocated tasks and complete them within agreed deadlines
  • Creating integration and unit tests where required
  • Improving the functionality of existing systems
  • Performing maintenance tasks and updates as required
  • Following Git procedures and maintaining code integrity
  • Communicating effectively with the team around blockers and opportunities
A bit about you
