Position Overview & Specifications

Sekisui Diagnostics is looking for a skilled QC Analyst – Microbiologist, to join our Quality Control Team in Kent.

You: As a QC Analyst (Microbiology)

You will have responsibility for performing various scientific analyses to evaluate the quality of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods and ensure compliance with established standards. Conducts and validates various biological and chemical quality control (QC) assays.

Responsibilities:

Will perform some or all of the following:

  • Act as site lead for the QC Microbiology team, and work alongside production with any investigations, etc.
  • Review of monitoring data and identification of adverse trends
  • Planning of Microbiology team activities
  • Authoring and approval of Out of Specification investigations and Deviations
  • Lead complex cross functional root cause analysis investigations
  • Author and approve Change Controls
  • Responsible for method transfer and method validation, as required
  • Environmental monitoring of clean rooms, purified water, Pure steam, and compressed air systems
  • Perform Sterility and microbiological testing of products, including identification when required to support root cause analysis activities
  • Ensure microbiology laboratory chemicals and consumables are stocked to prevent delays
  • Mentor and training of other staff, as required
  • Deputise for local QC manager, as required
  • Represent QC during external quality, regulatory and customer audits
  • Drive for continuous improvement within the QC department with regards to efficiency, quality compliance and costs
  • Identify requirements for the acquisition of new and replacement capital equipment, including the preparation of capital approval forms
