Warehouse Supervisor

Gem Scientific - part of the SLS group, a leading distributor of laboratory equipment, consumables, and niche test kits, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Batley, West Yorkshire. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £27,000 per annum.

About the role:

AS our Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including picking, packing, goods in, stock control and rotation, dispatch via courier system, stock takes, and general warehouse duties.

Key responsbilities of our Warehouse Supervisor:

• Receive, check-in, and put away goods
• Pick and pack orders
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and main building
• Track orders and communicate with the supply chain manager
• Liaise with courier companies

What we’re looking for in our Warehouse Supervisor:

• The ability to use your own initiative to prioritize workload and manage time effectively
• Possess excellent communication skills
• Good computer skills
• Ideally, you will have experience with Sage
• Be methodical, hard-working, self-motivated, and enthusiastic
• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment (use of stacker truck advantageous)

About Us:

We offer a competitive salary of £27,000 per annum, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and a 1-hour lunch break. The working hours are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
