Associate Portfolio Manager - Manchester

Who we're looking for
We're looking for an Associate Portfolio Manager who gets a buzz out of making sure our portfolios deliver what we promise to our clients. The team is growing and we would be very open to consider someone with more experience.

Assisting Portfolio Directors with managing day to day client portfolios and relationships, with the intention to develop the skills necessary to progress to a Portfolio Manager role.

What you'll do

Client Relationships

• Understand the client's individual circumstances, risk profile, investment objectives, specific restrictions and resulting mandates
• Attend client meetings; write comprehensive Minutes and respond to outstanding actions efficiently and accurately
• Meet clients outside the formal meeting cycle in order to keep up-to-date with their evolving circumstances and through building a personal association become a trusted contact

Client Management

• Help manage clients' portfolios in line with agreed Strategic Asset Allocation benchmarks and restrictions
• Within each asset class, recommend and suggest suitable investment ideas, consistent with underlying securities and/or funds in line with appropriate models and buy-lists
• Ensure investment mandate changes are captured, recorded and implemented.
• Monitor income levels for clients with specific targets.
• Report to clients in a timely manner and contribute with ideas for content
• Maintain client data so that it is current
• Become involved with projects to enhance the client experience

• Develop an understanding of the full range of services offered by Cazenove and their appropriateness for individual clients' portfolios
• Contribute to business development through editing and tailoring RFPs
• Oversee the setting up of new accounts to capture client wishes and instructions correctly
• suggest and implement efficient working practices
